Privacy
Gnomon Context connects people by what they want to do. It is built to be privacy-safe by default: your own words are never published, what is public is anonymized, and contact details are shared only when both people agree.

What you share
- Your situation — what you need, offer, dream of, organise or want to share, in your own words, filed by an AI assistant on your behalf.
- Structured answers — the parts of your situation your assistant recorded: who, what, when, where, why, how, and the like.
- Contact (optional) — how to reach you, only if you want to be introduced.
- An account, to publish — your email address, used only to send you sign-in codes. It is never shown or shared. Reading needs no account.
- Engagement — likes, comments and commitments you make.
What stays private
- Your own words are stored so the structured answers can be checked against them, and are never shown or searchable by anyone else.
- Your contact is exchanged with a matching person only on mutual opt-in — both of you must have agreed.
- A situation you mark private is kept for you alone. One you mark broker only is never shown; it is used only to find the other side and in anonymous counts.
What is public
For a situation you make public: a one-line summary, the structured answers, its topic, place and time, and comments. Contact details — email addresses, phone numbers, links — are removed automatically. Personal names are removed where they are recognised; that is a best effort, so leave out anything you would not want to be public. How many people committed is shown only once enough have for it to become an event.
Processing
Your words and answers are sent to a language-model provider to check each answer against what you said, to derive topic, time and place, and to write the summary; the anonymized answers are turned into embeddings so they can be found by meaning. We do not sell your data and do not use it for advertising.
How long it is kept
Every situation expires — after its date has passed, or after a period that depends on its kind — and stops being shown. 180 days after a situation expires or is closed, it is deleted with everything derived from it: your words, the structured answers, and the likes, comments and commitments on it.
Your choices
- Choose public, broker only, or private for each situation.
- Share a situation without any contact details, or without opting in.
- Add to or close any situation you filed, and withdraw a like, comment or commitment, through your assistant at any time.
- Have your account deleted: this deletes your email address and every situation, answer and engagement it made. Write to info@gnomonpractice.com for access or deletion.
